11. Coaching Program

The coaching program is a paid educational offering for non-technical professionals who want guided support building and deploying software with AI assistance.

Subscription Terms

The coaching program is offered either as a monthly subscription of $500 per month for 12 months or as a one-time $5,000 payment in full. Both options include the same core program experience.

Refund Policy

A full refund is available until 7 days after enrollment or before the second live session, whichever comes first. No refunds are available after that cutoff.

Cancellation and Access

Monthly subscribers retain access through the end of the paid billing period and then lose access unless they renew or are offered a separate continuation plan. Members who pay in full retain access for the full 12-month term.

Recording Consent

All live sessions are recorded for member catch-up and internal program operations. By joining the program, you consent to that recording. If recordings are later reused for educational or commercial materials, participant-specific details such as names, employers, and project specifics will be edited out before reuse.

Confidentiality

The coaching cohort is a group environment. Members agree to keep confidential what other participants share in live sessions, recordings, and the group chat, including project details, employer information, and strategic discussions.

Community Guidelines

Members are expected to participate respectfully, avoid spam or harassment, and give constructive feedback. We reserve the right to remove members who repeatedly violate these standards without refund if the violation occurs after the refund window closes.

12. Ascend Academy

Ascend Academy is a paid, live-cohort educational program for career switchers and IT professionals breaking into cybersecurity. The Academy is described on the /academy page. By enrolling or subscribing you agree to the terms in this section in addition to the general terms above.

Program Description

The Break Into Cyber cohort is a 12-week live program including weekly group classes, six 1:1 coaching sessions, a portfolio capstone, resume and LinkedIn review, and 90 days of post-program office hours. Cyber Career Office Hoursis a separate monthly subscription consisting of bi-weekly live Q&A sessions, session recordings, and a private community for async questions.

Fees

  • First class (Founding Cohort): $3,500 USD one-time for the first 20 enrollees of Cohort 1
  • Next class (Cohort 2 and later): $7,000 USD one-time
  • Pay-over-time (Klarna):eligible students may split the tuition into 4 bi-weekly payments via Klarna at checkout, subject to Klarna's approval and terms. Klarna, not Ascend Academy, finances and services the installments
  • Cyber Career Office Hours: $49 USD per month, billed monthly

If you pay with Klarna, your installment schedule, missed-payment fees, and collection terms are governed by Klarna's agreement with you. Ascend Academy receives the full tuition from Klarna at enrollment and is subject to the refund policy below; approved refunds are returned to Klarna, which will adjust or cancel your outstanding installments accordingly.

Refund Policy

7-day post-kickoff refund window. You may request a full refund by emailing hello@adilkaram.com from the address used at enrollment within 7 calendar days of the first live class of your cohort. This window exists so every student can attend at least one live session and confirm the program is a fit without financial risk. Refunds are processed within 10 business days to your original payment method (or, for Klarna payments, to Klarna, which adjusts your installment schedule).

After the 7-day window closes, all payments are final and non-refundable. The cohort is a small-group live program with a capped seat count, and once that window passes your seat cannot be resold to another student. No refunds are issued for:

  • Missed live sessions or partial attendance after the window closes
  • Incomplete capstones or homework
  • Failure to receive a job offer, interview, or specific career outcome (see No Employment Guarantee below)
  • Dissatisfaction not raised within the 7-day window

Office Hours is a monthly subscription and follows the cancellation policy below (no refunds for partial months).

Chargebacks and post-window disputes: the 7-day post-kickoff window is the sole mechanism for refunds on Ascend Academy tuition. If you dispute a charge with your card issuer or Klarna after the 7-day window closes, we will contest the dispute with enrollment confirmation, the terms you accepted at checkout, your attendance records for live sessions, your access logs for the student portal and video library, and any homework or capstone submissions received. We prefer to resolve concerns directly, will honor the 7-day window in good faith, and will always respond to a refund request sent to hello@adilkaram.com before a dispute is filed.

Office Hours Cancellation

Cyber Career Office Hours is a monthly subscription. You may cancel at any time through your Stripe Customer Portal or by emailing hello@adilkaram.com. You retain access through the end of the current paid billing period and lose access when that period ends. Cancelled subscriptions do not receive refunds for partial months or unused access.

Office Hours Founding Member Price Lock

The first 150 Cyber Career Office Hours subscribers are designated Founding Members and retain the $49/month price for 12 consecutive months from their initial subscription date, provided the subscription remains continuously active and in good standing. If the subscription is cancelled and then resumed, the then-current Office Hours price applies.

Cohort Credit

Active Cyber Career Office Hours subscribers earn a $500 credit toward the next paid cohort ($7,000) upon enrollment, applied as a discount at checkout. The credit is not redeemable for cash, not transferable, and only available to subscribers with an active subscription at the time they enroll in the cohort.

Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation

Certificates of Completion and Letters of Recommendation are issued only to students who complete the full 12-week program and submit the portfolio capstone. These deliverables are not guaranteed to every enrollee and are awarded at Adil Karam's sole discretion based on program participation and capstone quality. Students who do not meet the completion criteria do not receive a certificate or letter and are not entitled to a refund.

No Employment or Placement Guarantee

Ascend Academy is an educational program. We do not guarantee employment, interviews, offers, salary outcomes, or placement in any specific role or industry. Program outcomes depend on participant effort, labor market conditions, credentials, geography, and factors outside our control. Any statistics or outcomes shared reflect historical results and are not a guarantee of future outcomes for any individual.

Cohort Recording Consent

All live Academy sessions are recorded so enrolled members can catch up on missed sessions. By joining the program you consent to being recorded. Recordings are stored in the program workspace and are accessible only to Adil Karam and authorized operations support. If recordings are later reused for educational or commercial materials, participant-specific details such as names, employers, and project specifics will be edited out before reuse.

Cohort Confidentiality

The cohort is a group environment. Members agree to keep confidential what other participants share in live sessions, recordings, 1:1 sessions, the private community, and any other program channel, including personal stories, employer information, and career details.

Cohort Community Guidelines

Academy members are expected to participate respectfully, avoid spam or harassment, and give constructive feedback. We reserve the right to remove members who repeatedly violate these standards, without refund of cohort or subscription fees already paid.
